After speaking to an audacious group of students from Longwood University, Virginia, during their annual Longwood@Yellowstone program I’m gearing up for my book launch in Denver this weekend.
I’m still riding high after sharing a free-flowing, heartfelt, edgy and fiery presentation down at the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park yesterday to my Longwood Ohana, whom I’ve had the privilege to speak to each spring on their pilgrimage to the park. Now I’m turning my focus to the big book release/launch of my book of Yellowstone essays/memoir Grizzlies On My Mind. I couldn’t be more thrilled to be speaking at the legendary indie bookstore Tattered Cover in downtown Denver for the official release of my book.
The weekend’s festivities will kick off in Nederland, Colorado, at the 1st Annual Critter Conference where I will be signing from 6-9 PM and speaking at 7:40. Then I’m thrilled by the BIG news I recently received from my publicist that the Northern Rockies Sierra Club has asked me to speak at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver Saturday at their rally to protest the Keystone Pipeline. I’m super stoked. The director is asking me to close down the rally as the final speaker with a power-packed call to action.
And finally, the weekend will end with a bang at Tattered Cover with a presentation followed by a signing, kicking off the launch of Grizzlies On My Mind.
If you find yourself in sunny Colorado, I hope to see you at one of these events.
With nothin’ but love,
Michael W. Leach
