Sometimes all that life can throw at us feels like it’s just too much. That’s ok. It doesn’t mean we are weak or lacking, it simply means we’ve maxed out our coping skills and need to step back enough to regroup and redirect our energy. Overwhelm in today’s world is natural. Don’t let the charlatans telling you otherwise, fool you, it’s something we all experience when life has its way with us.
Sometimes ALL we are dealt IS too much, so we take deep breaths, slow things down, watch a good movie, read a book, go to the gym, journey to the mountains, river or ocean, and we reach out to our handful, the people we can lean on when the clouds block out the sun and the storm sets in. And we endure. That’s life. And we strive to do so with character, love and integrity. That’s a life worth living. One day at a time (ODAAT) we grind, grow and strengthen our game-plan for dealing with the storms that are inevitable to the human experience, to the experience of strivers and seekers.
Keep striving my friends. Keep seeking. If enough of us do, I’m confident we will eventually hit our stride.
Here’s a little one for those days when keeping your head above water is the best you can do. “When your world feels like it’s spinning out of control, slow things down, breath, and reach out to your handful for perspective and support. The sun will shine again. It always does.”
With nothin’ but love, Michael W. Leach
